How would I do that (easily and quickly, obviously I know how to do that over a period of a year... how could I get that done quickly?) with either Vegas 9 or AE CS5?

.. .. .. .. make the other color Transparent so only the lines in White are showing.
( I'd use a Greyer White instead of a Pure White. )
.. .. .. .. .. hold each Image in place for one-beat of music ( or ½ beat if self-mixxed ) Transparent to the background Video
then change to the next transparent frame ( Image ) and continue until all the Images are used-up at-least 8 times!
