Clip Pauses Effect
How do you do the effect in this AMV where you stop the clip like that? Is it just slowed down or something more?

Don't quite see what do you mean.
What I do see is masking. And then an image of the footage for still, or even slowing it down. It can even be both xD (?)

Do you think that's all it is? Cause it seems like it's almost done to perfect to be just a still and I've seen it done in many vids.

Just some still's once it goes into "still mode" they just did a short glow and lowered the saturation a tad.
Hope that'll help you out.

Re: Clip Pauses Effect
So I slow it down enough so it does that?
EDIT:
I found a tutorial for it. It's a freeze frame and you just save a snap shot of it.
Thanks for your help though.

You realize you don't have to take a snapshot off of it. You can just set it to freeze starting from that point. You could even duplicate and trim down the clip in the editor and freeze frame that itself. And even if you were set on manipulating it outside of your Non Linear Editing software and in something like Photoshop or Gimp. Then you'd be better off actually exporting that frame rather then taking a screen shot from the monitor.
