problems with soft flash

Program: adobe premiere pro cs4

used brightness/contrast effect, set key frame for 0%, set another keyframe a few frames later increasing contrast, set another keyframe a few frames after that for 0% contrast. when i play the video, the contrast doesn't change at the keyframes. the same method works for all the other video effects.

did you try rendering it to make sure that the effect isn't being applied? Its possible that the effect is being applied, but its just not being seen in your preview window.
