Audio Waveform Effect

I know I've seen some videos use the effect where theres a line that goes from say up to down and while its moving, it beats according to the waveform of the audio file. Can it be done in premiere? (can use AE too but its a little too complicated for me to use right now)

From what I can remember JaddziaDax put the audio into windows media player, turned on visuals, then used a program to capture what appears on her screen. and then put the video into premier.
