In this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcU1plIZumE at 0:09 theirs that white border around the video clip, I asked the editor how he did it but he only told me that he used sony vegas, it looks like a cookie cutter effect but... Their is no way you can make that shape like border with cookie cutter (i think) so if it is a plugin please tell me!

For the border around the first one, That is done by making the video and a white background then setting them to 3d composite then masking the background and video to that shape. and using the 3d composite to make it move and such.
As for the second one most of the effects are made by masking, using 3d composite and some stock effects as well.
