DBZ has a lot of mindless fighting? (Which happens to be one of the anime's in my collection)

So Akira has what? Intelligent gore? I wasn't aware that the gore of Akira rated as more intelligent. I happen to consider Akira one of the best anime out there, way over Ghost in the Shell, but dismissing DBZ as "mindless fighting" over the FAR MORE VIOLENT Akira, just doesn't make ANY SENSE.

Further, Akira (the manga) preceded Dragonball Z. (yes I know the manga was never called Dragonball Z)

That's what gets me about DBZ snobbery. It can't even be intelligently articulated.

It all boils down to a group think in which the group thinks it sounds cool. Great, if it sounds great in the group, so be it, but I'm not part of the group, nor do I want to be.

Your comparison of Linkin Park to Ozzy also makes COMPLETELY no sense. Despite the fact I hate Linkin Park with a purple passion, I see no shortage of fans, (including my teenage daughter, unfortunately  ) so I hardly agree with the "over and done with" assessment.

But kid, OZZY OZZBOURNE IS OVER AND DONE WITH. I hated Ozzy Ozbourne when he was brand spanking new. I've known Ozzy Ozbourne's music for a very long time. How about you?. Where were you when Crazy Train was new?

He sucked then and he sucks even more now. Now he's just old and sucks. He wears the makeup now, not as an act, but so people won't notice the age lines from all the years of drug use (the same wear and tear that Mick Jagger can no longer hide :P )

You want to talk about over and done with, Ozzy would be a valid topic, DBZ would not.

IT'S MORE POPULAR THAN AKIRA!

But to say DBZ is "over and done with" when Akira is much older is kind of an uninformed opinion.
DBZ is over and done with b/c there are over 5000 AMVs to it. Why are there so many? there is a shit load of mindless fighting. Its easy to use. Its easy to get. Most peoples first anime was DBZ.

Just b/c Akiras older doesn't mean its done with. Thats like saying Linkin Park isn't done with b/c they are a new band. But Ozzy Osburne is b/c his music is old.

You are taking my words and twisting them. You don't seem to understand that from an AMV stand point DBZ has been over used. And as far as the "gore" in Akira what makes it gorey actually Akira is pretty non violent. Sure when tesuo turns into the big baby blob thing its weird but not gory hell the goriest part is when he imagines his guts are falling out. And when I talked about Linkin Park being over and done with I ment in an AMV stand point. After over 1000 videos of one band the idea becomes stale. the Same goes with DBZ but whats worst with DBZ is that no new eps will ever come out (too my knowledge) so the same clips which used to be great get used over and over and people get tired of seeing them.

Op my video  lol

(okay count to 10 before you say anything. Count to 10 . . . . )

Okay, I am NOT going to let you insult my intelligence.

I've seen Akira. I own it on DVD for crying out loud! It's rated R for a reason, and it isn't because it's "non violent."

And imdb is in perfect agreement, with ME.

http://imdb.com/title/tt0094625/

AKIRA??????? Non-violent???? The violence starts from almost the first scene for crying out loud or did you forget the biker gang scene?????????

Besides, You have already defeated the "over and done with" assertion. If it were "over and done with" DBZ would not being used anymore. Since it obviously IS and more than any more anime, your own assertions, contradict and prove you are wrong.

This would be like saying Linkin Park is over and done with because more people buy it.

Makes about as much sense.

Your op is up.

Please no more DBZ snobs review my vids. I don't need my blood pressure raised with such utter nonsense.

You are right about one thing using over and done with was the wrong thing to say what i should have said is horribly over used.

And as for Akira being very violent. It isn't. If you think it is that bad you must lead a sheltered life.

Also check the reply I gave to your op.
