Tell me something interesting and earn an opinion.

Post by inthesto » Fri Jun 30, 2006 6:54 am

It's been a long time since I've written an op, so I think I'm finally going to give a few out. As usual, though, there's a catch. In order to get an opinion, I want you to tell me something about fighting games. It can be about either gameplay or storyline, but you have to make it interesting. If I know you know shop about fighting games (this applies to you, FC and Decoy), you're gonna have to make it good in order to get anything.

Examples of what could get you an op:

- In Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Dudley can be hit by shoryu supers while OTG.
- In Brutal: Paws of Fury, every single special move is a guard crush.
- In King of Fighters, Shingo's sprite gains gloves in 1998, which were given to him as a present from Kyo Kusanagi.

Examples of what will probably not get you an op:

- Sean plays basketball.
- Tai Cheetah is a cheetah.
- omg i wnat ur cox

Actually, I might reconsider that last one depending on your gender.

Each person gets one shot to impress me. When you do, be sure to link to the video you want opped in the same post. I'll keep this going until I get bored of it. Go on, already.

hmmm interesting :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

-in X-Men Mutant Academy 2 Juggernaut is only one player that can do more than 90% damage to his oponent with only 3 combinations ;
-in King of Fighters 2002 Omaga Rugal hidden special Kaiser Phoenix cannot hit oponent with all waves, but if you slide behind him right before he start fire the waves you will get about 70-90 % life damage ;
-in Guilty Gear XX Reload Dizzy's Homing Spear its unblockable if followed up with Necro Okotta Baai ;
-in Street Fighter 2 Turbo Revival when oponent attack Akuma right before he do his Shun Goku Sastu the oponent will freeze and will be freezed until Akuma make again SGS.
-in King of Fighters 2001 Bao's Rikatsu Shuu ( df + Strong Kick ) its infinity if oponent its in the corner ;
-in The Last Blade 2 Setsuna's special Ultra Lighting Sword ( df, df + fast and strong slash ) become unblockable if followed up with Fast Lighting Sword ( df + strong slash ), i think this is only in arcade version ;
-in Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Akuma's Kongou Kokuretsu Zan ( d,d,d + 3 punches ) its instant kill if right before impact you dash-in or jump-in ;

I think that is enough for now you can op one of my amv's in my sig :P
and yeah if i write more interesting things do you will op more of my amvs :P
Even if the morrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forstall my return.

Just for S&G (although you probably already know this),

The AI in Mortal Kombat 2 (Arcade) was so bad that if you fought Sub Zero, he couldn't block crouch low punches.

HEY! I've got pointless videogame information!!

In PSO you can stop DarkFalze from casting Grants on your entire party by sacrificeing... somebody to his barrage of Megid. Seriously you don't know HOW frustrateing it is that NOBODY knows this but me!! ... or nobody cares... more likeley the later.

The reaction time of the Dreamcast let you, on the original PSO, PB Boost your allies. You do this by setting up your macros so the second layer has a heal spell (obviously dumbots can't do this...) and the macro to the same button on the first layer has either Grants or Lightning (obviously Grants just did more... lightning could also freeze dumbbots though, it was TOO fun to just freeze them in the middle of a pack of enemys, when they died, take their stuff and leave... dumbbots, DON'T piss off the geek!). this will allow you to target your ally by holding down the right (I think... or left) trigger and you can QUICKLY let it go and release a grants/ lightning spell. This is why they must be macroed to the same button on different macro levels to work. I haven't tried this SINCE the dreamcast (well a little on the pc, but nothing too extencive) but the fact I was haveing a hard time doing it on the pc I'm assumeing it's not possible on the gamecube and SURELEY not on the PC Jr.... Xbox. Might have just been my pc controler that sucked though.

The dreamcast version of PSO also had close to NO security either! Best thing about that, you could name your character WHATEVER you wanted! I named my Dumbbot Terminal Gay. It would have been perfect if they could be magicians and carry staffs as one wand had pink harts at each end and when you used it harts fluttered out! aaah.

Interesting. what kind did you use?

Common (spike)
Eavestrough (spike)
Standard or Common
Box
Finishing
Flooring and Casing
Concrete
Cladding and Decking
Clinch
Hardwood Flooring
Gypsum Wallboard
Underlay and Underlay
Roundwire Sash Pins
Roofing
Wood Shingle
Gypsum Lath
Wood Lath

I personally prefer the wood lath since it's small, easy to insert, and usually does less damage to the walls since there's less stretching and material tension.

In Mortal Kombat 3, press down, down, up, up, right left, high punch after defeating a woman to perform a Nudality.

Sagat from Street Fighter Alpha once gave a homeless Sakura a Turkish Snowcone for a sandwich.

Cyclops is eighty times gayer in the vs. Marvel games than in the comics, and many of his animations were purposely made to look as if he were constipated from having too much semen in his ass.

Justice League: Task Force sucked then. It sucks now. Two words: Super-mullet.

They made an Inuyasha fighting game. Enough said.
