I don't think you all understand this well enough, so I'll re-iterate something...

4. Videos must not contain any bumpers or slates. Keep intros and exits free of any text that does not pertain to the video. No logos, watermarks, or text listing the editor, music artist, anime, etc... anywhere in the video. Bumpers will be made per video and will be displayed before the video is played, so keep your video clean so the whole contest is professional looking.

Honestly, I can cut off intros and outros, that's no problem. I understand some people LOVE intros and stuff (I personally hate them, and usually MTV-style brand my vids at the beginning, and do a simple black screen with white text for the end, no new songs for the intro or outro, cuz honestly, that's cheesy.), but they need to be ditched for this particular contest.

I know how to use De-Logo for Alpha-blended and Opaque logos and watermarks. Yes, I could technically kill your group watermark or that annoying DivX logo that's all over your vid like a big festering pimple, but honestly, I shouldn't have to go through all that trouble just to prep your vid. I've just spent the past hour delogoing a video entry, and trust me, I am not very inclined to do it ever again. If your local download video here ont he org has an intro, outro, or watermark, then please, by all means, link to it here, but you'll need to get in touch with me and send me a version of your video that is at least watermark free, if not intro/outro free.

Lastly, some really good entries have been submitted that I was really sad to have to disqualify for such simple things like the DivX logo, or the fact that there's subtitles all over the bottom of the screen in a coupel places. It's just unacceptable, guys. Wouldn't you rather create something without all tha tdistracting crap in the vid stream anyway?

Oh well, anyway, don't wanna beat a dead horse here, so I'll leave it at that.

Those that have entered, I'll be sending out emails (I hope) tonight with your entry information.

Further entries, as usual, are still being accepted.

Slight update on the categories... The action category is all filled up. We can always accept more action vids, since everyone loves 'em, but we have enough of 'em in the Journeyman class. Any masters out there? Novices?

And then there's a couple cateogries with no entries yet. Those categories are:
Best Comedy/Parody (There's one possible entry for this that I thought worked better as an action vid...)
Best Trailer

Anyway, keep 'em comin'! You'll get ops after Archon weekend, which is Sept 29-Oct 2. :)

though, it does have a bumper with my logo at the beginning. SORRY! :(
it's on the org so I can't reallly change that, but it should be easy to cut off!
Just to make sure, you want an email of our entry form, right?

This Org version of mine has the studio bumper in it. I'm mostly here for the op. If you have to disqualify it from Archon, it's not a problem.

Though I do have a blinded version I specifically keep for Cons, it's a 117MB monster. Could I mail that separately, or send it through YouSendIt or something?

I would like to enter my trailer into this competition. There seems to be a problem though, the length of my video is 5 and a half minutes long. The rules state that it has to be 3 minutes or less with no exceptions. I'll go ahead and link to my video:

If my video can still be entered I would be pleased. I can also provide it without the bumpers.

Yousendit works.

And again, I reiterate, you only get the op if you qualify for the contest, so yeah... Yeah....

There it is, entering int "Romance". Well, I do have to point out that some people (most), in the org versions of their videos, like to bring the resolution of 16:9 footage down to 640 x 360 or 352, whatever the person feels like at the time. I have done this with my video. If this will be a problem, I still have my 856 x 480 master that I could compress and upload to a friend's server, though I'd prefer not to (dial up bites : / ).

Also, I have bumpers at the begining and ending. Nothing difficult to crop off at all, though. I'm interested enough in this just for the competition, as I've never been featured at an actual Con before.

I refuse to submit my real name to anything other than a major convetion contest (Such as AWA). I hope that isn't too large an inconvenience, but It's just how I am on that particular subject. Tono Fyr will be fine enough for my actual name.

Thank you.
