While I appreciate that you used one of my favorite songs for your vid (which is sheer coincidence...), I will not make an exception. You obviously didn't read any of this thread, and because of that you couldn't have known that I was not currently accepting new op requests. It's good that you have a lot of enthusiasm for your first vid, but next time spend a little more time to make sure you're not just making yourself to look like a fool. :(

@Senvae: My op of your video is coming real shortly (tonight or tomorrow). Thanks for your patience. :)

And I'll begin writing my own AMV updates into my a-m-v.org journal, for those of you who're interested :) Look for it later tonight, probably.

Senvae wrote:If you're still accepting videos, I have an interesting one for you. You seem to be taking this AMV thing seriously by reading the guides and acquiring fine softwares such as Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 (which I used myself). I made an experimental video here which could give you some interesting angles to look at before making an AMV.

At first you will notice that I use very few digital effects. I find that using too many will destroy the experience for viewers that are already fans of the anime. The images have to flow in a coherent form. In this video, the best asset was the scene selection. I picked the best scenes to convey the emotions the characters expressed during the show. I also did a mix of 4 instrumental songs. They are all from the soundtrack "The Island" composed by Steve Jablonsky, so they match really well and make a seemless blend.

So without further adieu, here is my artwork:

Posted my opinion of it. Took me roughly an hour. XD Thanks again for your patience.

Watch the videos listed on this video's info page. It's a pretty good spread of the early years of the hobby to more recent videos. It isn't comprehensive by any means, but it's a pretty good start.

For more recommendations, godix (a very helpful guy around here) made a list of excellent videos that are definitely worth watching and included little blurbs about why you should bother with them.

Also, the org IRC chatroom is actually on the Synirc server, if you do decide to check it out.

This is honestly the most interesting and helpful Op thread I've ever read.

I'm kinda scared.

Your OPs are coming soon. I'm just getting over a bad sinus infection, so I haven't been active in my edits or in my OPs. Apologies for the delays...
