Requesting Feedback for AMV
Hello. I just finished this AMV, and submitted it to the Otakon 2015 AMV contest. https://youtu.be/eRrQD8KAL1A. It's called "Bullies" featuring "Accel World" anime footage to the song "Warriors" by "Imagine Dragons." Can't change the AMV submission at this point, but just looking for feedback or suggestions on how to improve the AMV, or things to keep in mind for near future projects. Thanks.

I think this could work really well... I think all the footage is there you need to tell an interesting story that goes well with the song. But right now, some of the sync is a bit awkward (often I notice it's unexpectedly early or fast) and some of the flashes to black or fades are distracting. It's also generally distracting to have clips of characters talking or with visible lip flap, so it might help to replace or alter those shots. I felt like the ending (the guitar solo and the last chorus) is almost working, but doesn't seem to have the proper build-up, because some of the shots are hard to follow or the movement doesn't flow together. Look for shots with complimenting movement; if you need to, you can flip a shot to keep movement going in the same direction, or fake it with pans or zooms. I was thrown for a loop by removing the second chorus out of the song, but that's not necessarily a problem I think, it's just I'm really familiar with the song and it was unexpected.

Looks like the Youtube version is a bit off-sync from the original. You can see it on my profile page: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=198458. Thanks for the feedback! I removed the second chorus because it seemed a bit repetitive or made the song a lot longer than it needed to be. For next time though I'll make sure to fix the lip movements, and change the direction of the shots.
