Happy to Give/Recieve Opinions
I just started with this whole AMV thing, and - although I now have ten videos posted, several hundred total views, and a couple hundred downloads, I have a total of 2 ops for 10 AMVs. I've started giving opinions away like mad (I actually like the whole critic thing almost as much as I like making my own), but need some help in gathering feedback for my own learning and progress.
If you want a video reviewed, post a link to it and I'll get to it (probably within a couple days, possibly within an hour, depending on how busy I am and whether I'm on my computer). Maybe a few other forum readers will even be nice enough to give their reviews to, we can only hope.
If you want to review one of mine, here there are, in the order of how much I'm dying for an opinion or two:
"Flying Motionless Above the Waves"
Sounds: Pink Floyd - Echoes
Animes: Princess Tutu, Cowboy Bebop
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=33951
"Sweet Mary Jane"
Sounds: Cypress Hill - Dr. Greenthumb
Animes: Bottle Fairy, Cowbow Bebop, FLCL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=34110
"No Way To Slow Down"
Sounds: Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath
Animes: Piano, FLCL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=33944
"Mabase Valley Girl"
Sounds: Frank and Moon-Unit Zappa - Valley Girl
Animes: FLCL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=33909
"June Bri-Do"
Sounds: Billy Idol - White Wedding
Animes: Bottle Fairy
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=33977
"Happiness is a Warm Gun"
Sounds: The Beatles - Happiness is a Warm Gun
Animes: FLCL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=33940
"Anarchy in the Land of the Rising Sun"
Sounds: The Sex Pistols - Anarchy in the UK
Animes: FLCL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=33958
"Changes"
Sounds: Black Sabbath - Changes
Animes: Piano, FLCL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=33961
"Cross-Eyed Mary"
Sounds: Jethro Tull - Cross-Eyed Mary
Animes: FLCL
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=34058
"My Bodyguard, Your Long-Lost Pal"
Sounds: Paul Simon - You Can Call Me Al
Animes: FLCL

That's not in order of my perception of quality (you'll have to guess as to what that is - though I will say that "Changes" is the surprise winner in the star-rating department, followed closely by the 23-minute long "Flying Motionless Above the Waves"), just the order in which I thirst for opinions.
And, by the way, I don't care if you're a newbie, your opinion as a viewer is just as valid, so bring it on. Also - if you are planning to write "Sucks", or "Rules", or anything similarly uninsightful, don't bother, I can get that kind of feedback from the stars. Finally - if you are going to post something that involves Evenescence, Linkin Park, or Dragonball Z, it had better be damn good, because there are way too many of those things out there when you consider how many other perfectly good (and sometimes better) bands and animes there are to choose from.
Thank you for your time and I'll be glad to share in the edification of fresh creative minds.

You can ask me for ops too :)
I'm also giving opinions, so go ahead and post something. I don't want to be a "total leach" both intellectually AND financially if you know what I mean.

Heh. I'll try and see them; I can't do a long op now, (since I have a few other ops I ought to do) but I'll be glad to watch and give a short critique.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

I just took a look at your INXS video, MexicanJunior, and think it's awesome - yes, I know, not an "insightful comment" - but in this case "rules" really is about all there is to say.
Also, Otohiko, I just watched the "Baby Snakes" video, and (I could be wrong about this, but who knows) I think your Frank Zappa video could probably kick my Frank Zappa video's ass (though they'd probably both get a good laugh and a disguisting comedic song out of the aftermath) .
Thank you for your interest in what I'm working on.

naw.
That video is barely a video; it's just a practice shot for my currently-newest vid.
But if you liked it, I'm glad
I got some of your FLCL vids, and will try to watch/op tomorrow morning.
