More free ops

Post by godix » Thu May 06, 2004 11:44 pm

I'll do some free ops so post your links.

Some things to note:
This bit is important. I tend to give lower than average scores and leave rather detailed but harsh ops designed to point out where there are flaws and how to improve (if I know). If you just want to have your score boosted or your ego stroked then don't ask me to look at the video. I've unintentionally insulted people in the past because they ignored this so please, pay attention. Do not post if you just want someone to tell you how great you are.

The deadline is when I leave for Acen (the 13th). I'll op anything posted up to then and ignore anything posted after that. I'll be gone for several days at Acen and I do have a personal life as well so don't expect speedy ops.

I tend to go over the mood/feel of the video with semi-brief timeline analysis if it's warranted. If you want something different, or if you want comments on a specific part of the video, let me know.

I do not like pure pointless action videos. I also don't like DBZ or Naruto regardless of the type of video and Samurai X is quickly joining those two. I'll review them if asked but it's VERY unlikely I'll actually like them.

Sure, I'll bite. ^^ I don't mind harsh reviews as they really only help us to improve as editors, right? ~_^

Thanks, even though you say it's free I generally tend to try and op peoples' vids if they op mine. I'll try to find one of yours tonight, if I have time.

Please link to it, I'm not sure which of the two you want done although I'd probably guess it's the animatrix one.

I hope you don't bash some of the scene repeats to much. It's an instrumental so I just tried to have fun with it. I hope you find it to be ok. Read the comments to know a bit more.

Hey, this is my first video and I seriously like to hear more criticism just because it improves your video editing. But that is just my opinion, be as harsh as you like, it will only help me on my second AMV ^_^

But please remember...I made it using Windows movie maker before I even knew about the other programs. So a lot of the quality is going to be bad, sound, etc. :(

I could use some criticism. These are my first two videos, and I want to know what I did right and what I did wrong before I make another one. The more detailed the criticism, the better. I would appreciate the mood/feel and timeline analysis you mentioned. However, one of my bid worries is how well I did syncing the music with the clips, so if you could let me know about that as well it would be appreciated.

P.S. This was made with windows movie maker, for lack of a better program, so keep that in mind.

Sorry for the double post.
