Does anyone use Final Cut?

Post by alexvoda » Mon Jan 07, 2008 6:05 am

I see a lot of you use adobe software or sony vegas.
But is there no one to use Apple Final Cut Pro(old), Final Cut Express, or Final Cut Studio( last version: 2)?

probably not the first, but the editors who use it would be few and far between. the most highly used programs seem to be vegas, premiere and magix

I have, and use, Final Cut Pro HD 5. Only one of my videos was made with it.

I think the main reason no one uses it is its Mac only, and its expensive. Lots of people get software illegaly.

The former more than the latter. Just few mac users as compared to PC users.

I've tinkered with Final Cut when I did some pre-college classes and they had Final Cut.

I hope to one day have Final Cut (probably express) since I got the mac over the summer. But that'll take a bit of time since these programs are expensive and as the saying goes, "Money doesn't grow on trees" XD

Well there is one other solution to using expensive software for free that is legal
install trail, when trail ends reinstall os, install trail .....
true it is annoying but for short projects like amvs it could work especially if you store everything else on a separate hdd.
Could you give me a link to the amv made in FCPHD5?I would really like to see it.
How does FC compare to Premiere and Vegas? Is it faster, easier?Dose it have more effects?
On other places i went people told me that FC is the best but Vegas the easiest .
