Sony Vegas timeline video preview, turn off?

is there a way to turn off the time lines video preview, or make it so there is only a picture like every now and then and not just one after another?

The only thing I can find is to go to View and uncheck "Waveforms and Frames" or simply press ctrl+shift+w. Downside, you lose the audio waveform.
