Sony Vegas version...?

Ok, so I just moved in with my sister and she has an older computer, which will NOT run my version of Sony Vegas Pro 8 for whatever reason- it's just not happening.

So I looked up some stuff and found out that even to run the 7.0 version I need something called "Microsoft Framework" and a "C++" (I cant remember exactly.) But I downloaded them both from the Microsoft website and neither of them would install.

So, before I go out and buy a brand new copy of Vegas, I need to know which version will even run on this computer.

Yes, I'm VERY aware that it sucks, but its all Ive got. An NO getting another version Windows is not an option. ^_^

Download the trials for Vegas 6 and 9, but you should probably get both Microsoft Framework and C++ as a lot of programs require them.

I did download them as I said above, they will not install. Or do not install properly, is the only message I get. Doesnt tell me why, they just wont.

You should still try to download Vegas 6 and 9

You've already stated that you attempted to download the Microsoft Framework but it could have probably been a version that your PC might've already had.

You're particularly looking for Microsoft's .NET Framework: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

That one should work without flaw, though considering your PC, it may make a few things a bit slower but Vegas should work for you at that moment.
