More vegas Questions

Well the other thread got messy so a new thread ^^

1) Just wanted to get some opinions on a blue ray downloaded ff7 movie?

Yeah, i know its illegal, but is quality still an issue? (file size 10 gigs or something, can get a ss from a friend if needed)

2) If i take a clip straght from say a h.264 avi video into vegas and then render it as lossless, will the quality be the same as if I made the h.264 a lossless before editing?

dw not a youtube amv lol, but at around 0:20 he puts two different texts together, but they arent aligned and it looks choppy. Is there a way to actually do that properly?

4) In say "Running Man" by Nostromo, at 0:55 to like 1:00 he zooms out from scene to scene and then goes from one character to another almost seamlessly, does he just zoom out fast??

5) The composition is basically like a canvas right?

and wheres the option to changing it?

6) Anychance any australians that live in nsw browse this forum?

im looking to get my hands on a dvd of byousoku, hopefully from a store, found a few on ebay and stuff but it doesnt say if subs are hardsubbed etc.

3) That's an easy one, you just adjust the size of the text while putting them together, so that they're the same size when they collide and ta-da, they're aligned. The kid in that video, changed the size of "Ch" later on. Just use keyframes to adjust both the text parts to the same size.

4) In "Running Man" I can't say for sure, since I haven't watched the original clips or footages, but from zooming out from the eye to the girl, I would say the clip is either originally placed like that or he just fastened the zoom a lot and then masked the other girl to appear from the side. Hope that answered your question?

1)AC:Complete? Obviously if you downloaded it,the quality wouldn't be as great as a straight DVD rip(providing you do it right)

2)Your source shouldn't be in h.264 since mp4s dont load into vegas.But anyway about the quality,I don't know.I recommend using VirtualDubMod to convert it to lossless first rather than rendering through Vegas though.

Yeah, for question 2, i meant xvid.

I know vegas works better with lagarith and I always do, but I just wanted to know if there would be a quality difference while editing if i didnt make it lossless.

Maybe a slight difference in quality but I can't really tell or maybe I'm just an idiot..

Editing with xvid is murder plus lossless makes it less laggy

Advent Children Complete, I got mine by torrenting (editing purposes right? So no subs needed?), I can try finding the file for you, it was done within hours so it was a really good deal. And it's incredible quality even if it downloaded.

yeah, after thinking it over with the advice in this thread, ive decided using the extra time making clips lossless will help me in the long run. So thanks

and @Sawnah: thanks for the offer but my friends already got ac complete 1080p which is 10 fckin gigs lol . i have no idea how ill get it off him ><
