i personally didnt like Ulead (when i tried it like two years ago) but i know some people who do very well with it... I'm not sure what version Ulead it was though O.o it was just really slow and would lag all the time...
ive never tried any AVID products but they are supposed to be good....
but your best bet on getting technical help around here are for these programs:
Sony Vegas
Adobe Premeire
Magix
Magix is probably the best price for what you would pay for it...
and truthfully i bet just about all programs you get into are going to have a "hard time" reading/processing xvid so changing program just cause the xvid file doesnt work isnt going to solve anything...
as i said best bet is to use Virtualdub Mod to change the codec to something your program can read....

I already got it how its work, i don't wabt change programs just want to know wich one are credibles
Vegas seems cool and the way to make mask is very easy, and the program compared to Avid is much more soft
Adobe Premiere i haven't tryed it yet, the only one i have tryed is Adobe After Effects the Trial Version and its very good
and thx for the help and fr your opinion

Just to clarify, After Effects isn't really for editing (though there are a few people here that seem to do most of there work in it) it's more of a small segment creator or a post-processor of scenes.
