Re: Which format of video would you recommend?
This might be getting away from the actual *vegas* topic..but can u actually choose in xillisoft that the conversion codec for avi to be lagarith...because if i find the video codec option...and click on it ..for hd avi format all i get as an option is mpeg-4? no avi option in xillisoft has a way of putting lagarith as the codec..and yes i do have it installed and can work in it just fine....i use xillisoft 7....and not some cracked lacking in options version ..yet actually bought one..so idoubt anything missing from it...so my main worry is...can i get smth better to convert to than what i use now?usually mkv sources--->avi (xillisoft mpeg-4 codec)?if i can get from mkv to a better usable in Vegas format....not mentioning the mkv toolnix use..to decode mkvs..wich usually gives a h264 format video file wich i failed till now how to use it...can any advice on how to obtain that...its that i think the quality of the converted files is bad..its quite good...im just wondering if the way i do it is a good way

Xilisoft is pretty bad, it cant choose your own codec like those lossless ones.

AVSPmod is a program that uses avisynth and "makes it easier", i guess. Honestly, I think you're better of not using it and actually learning how to write scripts manually and understanding how it works.Eake4 wrote:Just get the AMVapp its free and offers avisynth's brother AVSPmod

Re: Which format of video would you recommend?
Is there any guides for learning Avisynth purely by itself online? I wanna try that without relying on AVSPmod too.Pwolf wrote:AVSPmod is a program that uses avisynth and "makes it easier", i guess. Makes it easier by the option of preview and whisperer? You still have to write the script by hand, you know ^^;Pwolf wrote:AVSPmod is a program that uses avisynth and "makes it easier", i guess. Re: Which format of video would you recommend?
I never actually used it past loading it up and looking through it. Looked like it was more or less a point and click type of thing where it automatically loads what it thinks is the correct import plugin and gives you a list of filters with a gui interface for setting the arguments. This was a few years back also so perhaps my memory is a bit off. Eitherway, it's a program that facilitates the use of aviysnth, not an alternative.Nya-chan Production wrote:Makes it easier by the option of preview and whisperer?
