This was previously announced last month on RedShark News, and it is actually surprising that Sony was even considering "[dropping Vegas] altogether" as the article says, considering that it is still one of the most popular video editing programs. While I am glad to see Vegas assets were bought up by a company that already has a long record of video and audio editing, it still remains to be seen if the new VEGAS Movie Studio will continue on the legacy of the original.Magix Software wrote:Movie Studio is entering into a brand new era!
Since the acquisition of Movie Studio and other tools from Sony Creative Software, our entire development team in Madison, Wisconsin is working tirelessly to take video editing to the next level.
This means that at the end of February 2017, you can look forward to the most advanced Movie Studio yet. The new version will come with exciting new features and a new name: VEGAS Movie Studio.
Here's a sneak peek of some of the highlights in the upcoming version:
» New video effects
» Multi-cam editing
» Travel route animation
» and much more
Stay tuned for more updates and get ready for the all new VEGAS Movie Studio 14!
Sincerely,
Klaus Schmidt
