Burn away (vegas)

Post by ANBU_Itaichi1986 » Fri Sep 07, 2007 8:52 pm

I asked a similar question before, but its a bit different. I need to know not only how to make it look like the film reel is burning, but make it look all melted like what's done with stylized retro stuff.

does anyone have the slightest clue what Im talking about?

I don't think you can do that stuff with Vegas O.o

Either get some Plug ins for new vegas FX that can do what you need, or get particle Illusion. The way you make it sounds pretty much sounds like the stuff you can do with PI..

Well, you can go in media generator and "create" that sort of effect yourself.

But if I understand you well, I guess you'll need lots of masking and lots of tracks.....

oh! Install the new version of boris red with the vegas (7+) plugin, and one of the really neat effects is exactly this film burning effect, with the defined point of the frame that becomes "burnt away" (in alpha too, so can be used as a neat transition)... Of course, this may be not an option but it is the ideal solution
