Problems
i have got some problems and i hope you guys can help me ^^
out.
Problem 1 When i import some anime episodes to sony vegas. The quality becomes really bad. It has nothing
to with the video itself, because when i watch these episodes with media player, the quality is good
you can see the picture above for the bad quality
Problem 2 Sometimes when i try to mask, the picture from the preview isn't equal to the picture from the pan crop
so i can't mask well, because the part that i want to mask will appear later than i actually want
Problem 3 When i import mp4 files into sony vegas,it becomes really difficult to edit them, because the video responds slow
on my action. If i want for example want to go another time from the clip,it takes like 15 seconds, when i reached that time from the clip
and if i want to go to another time from the clip,it takes again like 15 seconds. I don't have any trouble with avi.
It's only mp4,but most of the raw clips are mp4,so i would like to know how to handle this problem.
I hope anyone can help me,
out.

Re: Problems
mp4 won't work, convert they to huffyuv or Lagarith lossless in Vdubmod and they should work. This'll actually solve all of your problems, I'm sure your .avis are divx/xvid so they need to be converted as well.

Re: Problems
What NS Said, But when it comes to the masking its probably the fps(frames per second)of your project, Make sure its the same as your source or you can right click your clip>switches>disable resample

Re: Problems
This, plus when masking use Best quality of preview, the lower ones are interpolated and can be less precise.Enigma wrote:What NS Said, But when it comes to the masking its probably the fps(frames per second)of your project, Make sure its the same as your source or you can right click your clip>switches>disable resample

Re: Problems
Correction: get VirtualDub (Google can help you) - VDMod is few years old without further progress.

Re: Problems
You need to use AVSynth then make an .avs using AvsP then import your .avs script into VirtualDub and save with the Lagarith losless codec , It's smaller than Huffyuv but slower. If you encode every episode it should be around a few gb per episode, You can always make clips to save up space.
