what's the name of this one anime...

i have no idea what it is, or what it might be about

and the only place i've seen anything from it is a few short clips used in some amvs....

the clip is of this one guy, brown hair i think

he's got his face sideways, laying on a desk witha pen in his ear.

I'm guessing he's a writer, cuz there's paper all over the desk

and there's another clip of him taking the pen out from behind his ear, and dramatically write somethign down, which looks like him shoving the pen foward

i duno, but if the anime's about a writer, I wanna know what it is, so I can look it up

Sounds like Light from Death Note to be sure. He's not really a writer, he's just your everyday pen-and-paper magic killer genius!

The anime has not only dramatic writing but also dramatic potato-chip eating

sounds like Death note (definately not about writing in the traditional sense)
usually you can't get too far with that vauge info
