Anime is porn or isn't it?!
ok, I was really pissed yesterday because someone in my family accused all anime of being porn which is definately NOT true....yes, I know that there is some stuff out there that is definately not for children and stuff, but it's similar to the stuff on regular tv only less animated...I don't know how to describe it...Is there any comments or additions anyone would like to make?

Even better might be Whispers of the Heart...just in case the skeptic happens to be an ultra-conservative Christian that might get uptight about the mention of "witches."

The best thing to say in that case is to tell the critic that if all Anime is porn, then all American Cinema is porn too (small corner genre defining whole medium).

GOD damnit Mc.Danolds you ruined all the fun. He didnt know that and before you know his mom (the crictic might be his mommy) Will be watching some hentai and he will get in trouble and banned from ever wacthing anime.

anyway....no, anime is not porn. though you have to admit...most japanese artist are at least perverted in some way.
and common, you can't tell me kiki didn't have any panty screen shots as she took off flyin on her damn twidly broom stick.
anyway....i wouldnt' consider anime in teh same category as porn in the slightest. one thing...porn isn't that great in the entertainment value. in the turn on category...maybe, if its really good...but other then that theres' not much to porn. anime on the other hand has at least a story line...something to get watchers entertained or focused on a theme or moral as with many other movies try to do.

i got a funny story, if you think that uneducated people calling anime porn is bad you'll love this. i recently changed schools and the other day i was talking to the new anime people i found and we started talking sword fighters cause they all made a big deal out of inu yasha. so i figured i'd mention ninja scroll the one person there who was cool hadn't seen it but the funny part is comeing up so hold on. there's one girl who is like an eva acolite she hasn' seen the whole series but raised it to godly standards already, anyway she turns and says "ninja scroll? gross! that is a hentai." now ninja scroll was my6 favorite movie for quite a long time so naturally i was more than a little pissed. arguing for a few minutes i found out hat she and most of the people at the table are anime children, the people who watch toonami, hamtaro, and think sailor moon is one of the best anime's around. and i just think anyone who has seen anime should know better than to call any anime a hentai, the distinction is there for us who watch it alot, but finially we argued so much i actually downloaded a hentai episode. so i try to present the facts to her about the diference, of course she, you know "aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh! thats gross!" and remember this is someone who watches eva, from what i've seen that is more sexually oriented than ninja scroll. i've seen it it's almost all inuendo everyepisode, until a certain point. but anyway i thought that was interesting cause it urked me for almost an entire day how she could watch anime like more devoted than i do and exclude anything thats bloody or sexual.

I know how you feel. My classmates accuse me of the same thing, everytime I talk about anime, or me of it being kiddy stuff.
