What does Gendo say??

I am a diehard fan of Evangelion and have watched it like 5 million times...but im wondering what everyone thinks Gendo says at the end of Eva right before he shoots Ritsuko(you know he says something but theres no audio) now this has always been debated(i personally think he tells her he loves her) and me and my friends all have different opinions...so what is yours??

Never watched the series... but my guess would be he says

"You forgot my theme song"

It's in the script. I think it's in the wikipedia entry somewhere too.

He probably says that Naoko Akagi's soul perished with Eva Unit 00.

It's just Anno messing with your head. Another red herring you might say. Gendo says nothing, but also says everything. It's whatever you want it to be. At least that's my take on it.

to azulmagia, good geuss but in case you didnt know Naoko killed Rei 1 and then herself because of wat she had done, meaning her soul instantly went to heaven,hell or back into god therefore she could not have perished with unit 00...good geuss tho!!
