Question about "Slayers"

Okay, so what came first then? The OVA or the TV? I'm guessing for some reason the TV show, but why would she be younger in the follow-up OVA?

The OVAs and Movies occur before the TV series as far as the story is concerned. The only OVA that occurs after the TV series is Slayers Premium, which is why it's the only one that has the TV characters in it.
