AKIRA - he is the perfect being, at least by human standards. To bad there is there is only 1-2 minutes of Akira in the whole akira movie, not much to base a role model off of. But he is the perfect being :)

She is a scientific genious, humorous, crazy, and she is a Goddess; ruler of all!

You just have to look up to Washu :P .

I'll have to go with Jet from Bebop (did you see that one coming?). He's got such a classic sense of justice and integrity. Add that to the fact that all the Bebop characters have more style than previously thought possible and you just can't go wrong with him.

I can't say no to that....but hell, shinji's a great kid gone screwed up, so my vote for him.

But...Ashitoka or however it's spelled, kid from Princess Mononoke wins my role model award.

For girl role models...Belldandy deserves my vote but I don't mind going for Rei. My vote, Rei.
