Don't forget the new Street Fighter's live action movie coming out and all the other anime live action films coming out1arururu wrote:Unfortunatly this is what we are going to have to deal with since anime and manga has hit more of a main stream.
also if you haven't noticed there haven't been any "original" movies in a while, everything is coming from old comic books, not to mention the butchering of Speed racer, transformers, reviving indina jones, and yet another james bond film somewhere in the process.
Just a bunch of shitty movies that are gonna make us fans pay money too go see because where all gonna be curious if it sucks or not X_X
lol listening to It's the End of the World as we Know it (And I Feel Fine) by R.E.M. How fitting =l
Well at least all the great classic live action movies are being re-released and at like a $5 price Can actually spend my money on some good stuff and have fun watching great memorable movies. But then die inside when I look at the new movies coming out T_T

Whats the worst that could happen other than the actors not having the charm of their portrayed characters? because if thats the biggest problem than shit man....screw it! dont see it, as for me im hoping either the Pan's Labyrinth director or Tim Burton directs it (its just a shame Johnny Depp's not 20 again to play L)

That would actually be pretty perfect when you mention it.Super Shanko wrote:Whats the worst that could happen other than the actors not having the charm of their portrayed characters? because if thats the biggest problem than shit man....screw it! dont see it, as for me im hoping either the Pan's Labyrinth director or Tim Burton directs it (its just a shame Johnny Depp's not 20 again to play L)

Bah. I hate when people get peeved at anime they like being redone...
*Person A watches AnimeA*
*Person B begins fanfic of AnimeA*
*Random chance encounter leads fanfic to tv series status*
*Person A get's pissed his show is changing*
1. Person A had no involvement in the actual making of AnimeA.
2. Person B is not "redoing" AnimeA just providing his own personal vision.
*Person A gets bored and watches AnimeA2.0 once and falls in love*
Aaaaannnnnddd your forefathers role over in their graves at the hypocrite you are.
Unlike George Lucas the anime is not being redone to take over the spot of what the original anime holds. It merely adds a new way of thinking or seeing that anime in another person's eyes. If you don't like it then go back to your own tastes and don't bicker.

Why not just watch 'em online if you don't think it'll turn out right. I haven't paid to watch a movie in years.

Another remake? *blurgh*
And they're remaking My Sassy Girl? I'm sensing a large disaster in the works.

eh, i havnt heard anything about that, dont suppose you got a link on it? is it a movie with an actual budget or something they hire the local college film club to make.ShatteredFlame wrote: Don't forget the new Street Fighter's live action movie coming out and all the other anime live action films coming out
as for death note, why a remake, i liked the anime just fine, thought it was a decent tribute to the manga, there are so many other series out there that NEED remakes, or need to be turned into decent anime in the first place.
