The name of this anime

A friend of mine saw an anime movie on TV awhile ago and can't remember the name of it. He thinks it was a movie....

He says from what he remember it's about a girl/woman who is part of the outsiders (humanity it seems is divided). She is thee daughter of a dead heroine of peace. she is the only one who can complete the "prophecy". It turns out the entire town is on the back of some giant robot. So literally she is uppose to "deliver" them to a new land...

And that there is a guy with long hair who has bugs living inside of him and can steal your life force.....

Any ideas?

I know the anime you're talking about, and it is a movie, but for the life of me I can't remember what it's name is...I'll remember it and post later.
