I would much rather see a fourth season animated... the novels are so awesome and need to be animated damnit!

I actually think he'll be pretty good.

Check him out on SNL: http://www.hulu.com/collections/223

He's funny.

Also, I hope they go more the Fumoffu route as that was FAR superior entertainment to the original FMP.

It's about to.

I'm not so worried about Eva though, since ADV [presumably] still holds the rights. Though, that movie's future may look very bleak indeed if ADV folds.
Funny, a website that exsists only to talk about that movie says that there is a report that over the next *9* months there might be an announcement.

Funny.

If they do end up getting this up off the ground, i would much rather see a darker drama closer to TSR/End of Day by Day. Turning it into a comedy would ruin it.

I agree, a more serious anime seems like it would translate into a movie much easier.
I love to wear absurd and totally impractical garments. What's more, I derive great pleasure from spending time with women for no apparent reason.

Not that I have ANY faith in this movie whatsoever, but I was thinking that adapting the first novel into a 90 minute movie could work fairly well. They'd get in their High School hijinks and then go on to the srs bznss stuff about halfway through the movie.

Again the problem arises of making young (or those who appear young) American actors do something serious without it turning out cheesy/emo/angsty.

Cheesy I'm ok with as long as they play it straight. The bigger problem is making them all angsty and emo. And/or some kind of whiny cocky bastard (see Transformers).
Having trouble playing back videos? I recommend: Image
