Naruto Shippuden? what is the ten tails demon?

i heard that madara wants to capture all the demons so he can put his eye on the moon which is the body of the ten tail demon. Does anybody know more info??

All the tailed beasts are split parts of the ten tailed beast, which is made of all of them combined, and is the ultimate chakra power. with it he will get enough power to use his sharingan's power to control the entire world (eye in the sky heh) and make it a perfect world with no differences or conflict.

As Madara said the Sage of the Six Paths sealed the Ten Tailed Demon inside him and became a jinchuuriki though he knew this was only a temporary solution so he splitted the Ten Tailed Demon's chakras into 9 Seperate beasts and to take further caution he used Chibaku Tensei to seal his remaining body Inside the moon (Which he created).
