Full Metal Alchemist Manga finally ended (last chapter over 100 pages long). It started in August 2001 and although it's been going on so long it only had 108 chapters (due to the release of just 1 chapter a month). It spawned 2 long length TV series (one of which is still ongoing) and is one of the most recognized series in anime. RIP FMA
strangely enough I havnt read any other series by this author, i think i'll try them out as they should be good.

Re: Another epic series comes to an end
I've been an anime/manga fan since I was 4 years old I can safely say the entire FMA franchise is the greatest of both forms of media in my opinion. If there can ever be a more epic franchise, praise be to God.

Re: Another epic series comes to an end
The final chapter was very satisfying: I haven't been anticipating episodes from an anime (Brotherhood: When they animate the final fight) this much for a VERY long time, and I'm just going to go nuts when that fight gets animated.

To be honest, I dropped the very first FMA series. I hated it a lot. But I've seen a lot of spoilers for the manga, and I'm intrigued. The manga is always better for me, so I think I'll check it out.

there second series follows the manga pretty much to the letter so if you like the manga it's for you.Taite wrote:To be honest, I dropped the very first FMA series. I hated it a lot. there first series wasnt that bad if you havnt read the manga yet, fortunately i saw it before so i was able to enjoy the series twice.
