Violent/fighting scenes/etc.

Hi guys! I've had an idea for a while for an AMV but haven't quite found the perfect anime for it yet.

Does anyone know an anime that has a lot of battle scenes.. fighting scenes.. perhaps somewhat bloody/gory that has to do with betrayl?

The song I have in mind is not exactly an upbeat, rock, loud song but a nostalgic one with a great beat - so I want the idea of it to be like 'These fights have become inevitable, but we had a meaningful past' sorta deal.

I had the idea of Samurai Champloo but any others that fit more would be perfect!

The most fitting anime for that criteria would have to be 'Rurouni Kenshin'. Lots of fighting and blood at necessary points. Not to mention that one of the movies is called 'Samurai X: Betrayal'(same series).

DBZ, Hajime no Ippo (not sure how to spell) are common animes for this lol.

check out the first episode of Kurokami. The fight scenes in this anime are awesome. And a few of them get to be really brutal. Bandai has the complete series uploaded legally on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwbE0jCDYRU The fight that starts around the 14 minute mark is one of my favorites in the series.
