What do you think about Ecchi Series?

Rarely if ever do I like fanservice of any kind. I usually cannot stand to watch anything remotely ecchi because it just isn't what I'm interested in seeing and I find it distracting and disruptive, especially if the series does have redeeming qualities.

You can't make a show, dump in lots of tits and ass, and figure there, we have tits and ass, everyone will automatically like it.

If all a show offers is tits and ass, well if I reeeeeally want to see tits and ass and nothing else, I'm going to look at some REAL porn and enjoy seeing in addition to tits and ass, actual sex as well.

I can handle tits and ass in a show, if the show is also a good show.

I also prefer the show not try and beat the idea to death. Like as with a great joke, it gets a bit annoying listening to it too often. Even a great joke gets annoying if over told too often too fast.

I also wish they would stop putting content in that then has to be censored. If it's going to be censored, why bother.

Now a good show that has a bit of ecchi is high school of the dead. lol. Not that freakin ikkitousen i tried and watched it but its bad...which is probably why the dvds you can find for like 5 bucks. hahahahahahha.

I was watching it until episode 13 but I was like I was guessing what will happen after one episode.

To love ru for example. When I first watched it I just thought that it was another serie, but the storyline prevented me to stop watching it. Even lots of amvs I have watched about To Love ru focus in its storyline rather than the ecchi.

I guess that in case of tits and ass in shows, less is actually more. It's much more captivating when a well written character, set in a well written story, gets a few seconds of ecchi content (but there should also be a good reason for that scene). I am really tired of shows with t&a-overload, when they launch hundreds of tps (tits per second) in your face. On the other hand, a genre where I'm willing to endure a bit more (this is funny, never thought I would actually have to ENDURE it ; ) ) is comedy, but yet again, it has to be good, not some half-assed gags, riding plainly on the fact, that the watcher is fed with boobs and panty shots in each scene. Someone mentioned Goldenboy earlier, for me it's probably the best example ever.

As to the OP's title question: You don't think about ecchi series - that's the point.
