megauploads was one of the most used sites on the net, there was everything on there (a lot of legit harmless stuff as well). I think they're just trying to find a scapegoat to use an example of their efforts to stop piracy, which isn't going to happen unless they take down the net itself. I think the only reason they picked megaupload is because it has a lower profile than sites like youtube (if they too YT down there would be rioting in the streets).

Somehow I believe if Tohru realized she was used as a pawn in the Megaupload-Shutdown, she would give the world a friendship lecture about torrents, file sharing, copyright xDD
