Yeah, there were 3 LH video games as far as I know...
Love Hina: Smile (DC)
Love Hina: Smile Again (DC)
Love Hina Advance (GBA)

And NONE of them are Canon to the manga/anime

So needless to say, if that's the only place they introduce this girl from the past, it's got no bearing on the anime or manga.

(Unlike one particular Tenchi Muyo game for the PCFX game system in Japan... It's actually official Tenchi canon, coming between episodes 7 and 8. It says "OVA 7.5" on the box

Yes it is sappy but dont skip it or you will miss some stuff. I have seen the intro from Love Hina Smile and seen a new girl who looks amazingly like the girl who mentioned the rumor. Like I said I would enjoy if they introduced her in the series. I haven't played the game and they might have done this but here is a cool scenario: The girl he was waitng for comes to Hinatasou to prepare for her exams. She rents a room at the girls dormitory so that she can be alone to study. Well that would be interesting, of course it probably was done in the game. Who knows I basically made the storyline for Hellsing like a year before the series was created and didn't even realize until last month. ^-^.

This is true, I just ignored little facts like that because I know the only goal of the special was to develop the relationship of Naru and Keitaro even further by showing how much Naru really loves Keitaro no matter what. I think they added the turtle civilazation idea just to add to a kinda comedic storyline. I just tried to not think too much about the little things.
