Hmmm. Of the Anime MOVIES I've seen, I'd have to say... Perfect Blue. I watch much more series-oriented anime than movies. I'm in the middle of Kenshin.

I dearly love Char's Counterattack and Wings of Honneamise, but I have to give the nod to Akira because it is currently the only anime film I have seen on the big screen.

I haven't yet seen EoE or Spirited Away, and I've only seen part of Princess Mononoke, so I can't include those yet. But they're damn good.

Oh! I nearly forgot these...

Porco Rosso
Nausicaa
Laputa
Robot Carnival
Macross: Do You Remember Love?

All of the films I've mentioned are feature films. As in, they were made and released in movie theatres. I think some folks in this thread have forgotten that.

For a non series movie, I would choose Jin-Roh[The over all theme of this movie is what really kept me interested. The movie successfully combines the social unrest of AKIRA with the mentality of End of Evangelion. The action scenes keep the movie fast paced enough and the characters have a true sense of humanity and depth.]

For a series movie I would choose Nadesico: The Prince of Darkness[There are many series related movies out there, but this one by far is one of the only movies that keeps true to the series. The comedy factor as well as the seriousness is transfered flawlessly from the series. The general plot-line is solid enough to keep interest and stimulate thought. By the end of the movie many of the questions from the series are answered but are only replaced by brand new ones.]

By the way the reason I got so detailed is because this are reviews from my new anime review site. ^-^

"Hey dont knock masturbation, its sex with someone I love!" -- Woody Allen
"Evil will always triumph 'cuz good is dumb!" - Dark Helmet
