hmmmm...true, the mystery aspect of each character does make them quite likeable to me, i just thought i would like to know though. truthfully though, i'd like to see how Vicious came about, i mean was he always like the way he is or did he actually start out more like someone like Ed? ok bad example, but i mean i only remember seeing him smiling in a flashback where he and Spike were back to back.

it would be kinda nice to see spike and viscious, when they were team-mates. Remember The episode where he fell out the window after fighitng viscious? and he had the flashbacks, and there was one of him and Vic' in a shootout back to back? I loved that Pic....
But Cowboy bebop ended on a Highnote..So it should be left as is to me...

I remember hearing an interview on the DVD with the creator that said something like:

We wanted to do more with spikes past and we wanted to show more of, but they wouldn't let us. I think the fans would have enjoyed it too

Or something like that...
