Yay! The re-release of Spirited Away!

to take any heat off of dwchang, comparing Spirited Away to Miyazaki's other works, I give the film a C+

Certainly it is a decent film, but it just doesn't hold up against his earlier works. Personally I feel this is one of his weakest films.

Oh thank god you said this. I *totally* agree. When you look at: Naussicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Castle in the Sky Laputa, Porco Rosso, Mononoke Hime and Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro, I would have to say it's worse than all of them. It's very creative and made for children so I understand and by no means is it bad. I don't name the others because I don't like them that much

First off, what's up with the number of ignorant statements in one day.

If you have a grasp of this thing called....time, you'd realize that I was the first to post that I didn't think it was awesome. Let me refresh your time-deficient mind:

Yes because the DVD is out in the states!!! If my calender is correct, the date is March 27th, 2003. I believe the DVD comes out on April 15th. Unless I have this thing called a time machine, I don't think I'd have the DVD. Perhaps this relates to my previous retort of you not grasping time.

I already know you're going to reply with "Uhm...well..uhh...you could have the Japanese DVD." To which I say..."and how does that change my original rebuttal?" (so please say your fingers the 150 keys you will be typing on that, I think the energy could be better spent masturbating or something).

Yes that's *exactly* what I wanted. Because I *so* need to look cool in front of people I don't know in person. Oh and since you seem to lack this thing called logic (or reading ability) let me help you out...that was sarcasm.

In case you need me to elaborate my original point further...I mention other Hayao Miyazaki works because...I am making this thing called...a comparison. Similar to....A > B, but B > C. Do you need me to even further down the academic ladder?

My avatar? Soujirou from Rurouni Kenshin. I highly recommend the show. He's the coolest character in it IMO.
