Naruto, is it good?

I guess naruto is just like DBZ... except for the cleaner, smoother animation...
And oh yeah, the interesting story line.
I almost forgot the fights, those are good too...
The characters are cool though...
I like the music... but thats just me...
I like the fact that the bad guys have their own story, not just... "argh... im gonna destroy the world because im EVIL!!!"
I guess it is alot like DBZ...
but a thousand times better...
and ive only seen 26 episodes, i cant wait to see what happenes next... DBZ has never caught me in a cliffhanger.
Did I mention cool character development?
And better music?
And more exciting to watch?
Well... aside from that, it is alot like DBZ...
then again, nothing like it.

I have only read the manga at current, can't get it on dvd here yet!!
It seems to be a great manga, I know that much...

What kind of crack are you on?! Naruto is nothing like DBZ....what a shame to the anime to compare it to that...

Anyway, Naruto is amazing, it's fun, serious at times and overall a great watch. Don't miss it. I subscribed to Shonen Jump just so I could get the manga

Nothing like DBZ? Well if you ignore that a large portion of both shows consists of lots of talking about fighting, fighting, then more talking about fighting, I guess there aren't many similarities...

i've only read the mangas that have been released in Shonen Jump so far, so that's not very far but i'm addicted to the show at this point, that and One-Piece heh heh
how can naruto not contain a lot about fighting when ninja's are the basis of the story, but it has a better plot than dbz (that's because a plot actually exists) i won't give examples of the better plot because i don't want to spoil anything for people reading...NINJA CENTERFOLD!!
...now that i've got outta my system i can continue on in live

btw: i also enjoy dbz, for it's action mostly but that's getting old, i'm starting to read the manga episodes released in Shonen Jump of dbz as well just to have a change in media but i don't plan on buying dbz mana's, but definately naruto...and eva, i heard there were some slightly different things between eva tv-series and manga

It's one of the best series out so far, both the manga and anime.
I was a little shocked when I saw the difference in drawing style between the manga and the anime.
With the manga I'm at Volume 17, with the anime at 14.

You might as well compare DBZ to any other Fighting anime out there, like Flame of Rekka. Naruto is nothing like it, sure it has fighting, but its a fighting anime. You might as well say Evangelion is just like Gundam because they are both "mecha anime".

I like DBZ, but it has no plot. A bad guy comes, transforms a few times, boom, someone dies and is revivied, a planet destroyed, blah blah blah. Oops, I think I just spoiled the entire DBZ series.

My bad.

Besides... the new theme song of naruto...

yeah very true. If naruto can be compared to dbz just because of the fighting, well then any anime for the most part is just a copy of some other anime. This is true but its the new spins and stories that make anime different from each other, and the last time I checked DBZ did not own the fighting genre.
