That's not the last we saw of him. The last we saw of him was Episode 1 (which is really like Episode 26).

As for answers.....SPOILERS

Basically, the Skull Knight (if you search you can find pictures of him) comes and saves them. He is basically an "entity" (I guess) that is fighting against the Godhand (is that their name...forgot) and their demons. He saves them and from that point on Gats/Guts starts fighting the demons too (for obvious reasons).

If you think the Gats is strong, the Skull Knight puts him to shame...by A LOT. Void (the head Godhand guy) has to even block one of the Skull Knight's moves, which I understand is a big deal. Gats can't even get close to Griffith.

-----------------SPOILER

..............Griffith woulda fillet'd him after he was done with caska.

one more Q .. i heard that guy was introduced in the manga at an earlier time, is that true, or is it feesible still to continue the anime without prior- introducing the charecter?
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..

Well the thing is, the manga starts out A LOT differently then the anime. I think the first manga volume starts with Gats killing that one "sexy" woman demon (the one that fooled Corkus). It's actually quite cool since he starts messing around with it and it says more or less "I got you" and he responds, "No I got you" and blows her away with his cannon.

However, this doesn't matter since it goes into the flashback (which is all episodes 2 - 25 are) about the Hawks and Griffith's ambition and eventual downfall, like the anime. So I guess it's similar enough in that the flashback comes soon and gets to the point we are talking about with the Skull Knight (yes he is introduced here), the only thing different is a little bit of the beginning.

Go to http://www.thehawks.org and from there on that's all you need.

As for Berserk it is undoubtfully GODLY. Episode 25 is not really an ending, but only the tip of the iceberg. I think the manga is even more godly. After 48hrs of straight reading (Had to catch up with all 24 volumes or I could not sleep) I couldn't differ if I was watching anime or reading manga. (Now that was an interesting altered state of conscience! :-D)

I think I recently experienced the same thing catching up with V17 of Naruto yesterday. :-)
