slayers question?

8) I was on another forum and someone mentioned that Fox Kids has picked up the rights for Slayers.

Anyone here have more info?

Anyone else feel that this is a bad thing? I keep getting visions of a hacked to bits show coming on at 7am on Saturday mornings.

Ok this is really old news fox did buy the rights to the show and lisa ortiz commented at Katsucon 2002 that They had her go in the studio and redo alot of scenes. Most specifically the dragon slave spell which contains "Crimson beyond that flows" She had to change that line. Alos removed were references to the dark lords etc. The reason fox probably will never show it is because it will undoubtebly offend religous groups. of course Imho It ought to be shown at 8:00 at night against shows like buffy the vampire slayer which it would rape in ratings. Here's what fox needs to realize just because something is animaged and fantasy does not mean it should be aimed at children.

I agree. It is not a show that should be aimed to young children. A teenager is different. To remove all the potentially offensive material it would be cut up.

I guess this means Nagha would be gone too..?

Nahga is only in the OVA and movies. She isn't in the series at all, so that wouldn't have been a problem. No doubt they would not even consider showing the OVAs on FOX because with the amount of editing (out) they would do, Lina would be like Golem from LOTR....talking to herself all the time.

Heaven only knows what could happen to people if they aired a show about an alternate world with gods, monsters, and humans on network tv. Surely, mass murders and suicides would follow

Slayers is still probably my favorite anime, closely followed by Fushigi Yuugi.

Slayers is definitely my all time anime. I love the music from it too. I like Xellos image song come on lets go and I love somewhere in the night. The only episode in which Amelia and Naga are included is the 30 minute ova Slayers platinium. Susposebly and I have never seen it before but I beleive in tape 5 of the slayers Amelia thinks she see Naga walking by in a town. I looked all over tape 5 and couldnt find this part. For those that don't know Naga is Amelias older sister.

grrrr how do paste a pic on this thing? i would show u guys where naga is in ep 17 of slayers if i could figure out how to do this picture thing.

but anyway u see naga when lina amelia and gourry dear r getting onto a bout and they dress gourry up like a girl so they CAN get on the boat...... and lesee oh and fox i think would be realllllllly dumb to put slayers on .... cause its to um offensive to certaim ppl ...
