Cause that movie was pretty good for an old one.
Yep, an old favorite of mine

1) DBZ ... i think it's been said too many times but yea it just sucks a story got got so baddly over milked that it makes the cow form kung pow look likeyour sterotypical fat american otaku.

2) sailor moon - teh dub blows and all teh editing done to it eats cheeze dick ... plus the die hard fanatics are very annoying ... (lets prank them to death with tire irons!)

3) Pokemon - ... it's now an ammerican show ... actualy now applies to quite a while ago ...

basicaly any anime that has been developed for the sole purpose of selling a product rather then telling a story, sucks.

A few years back, I actually was one . The dub truly bugs me now, but I'd still see the original if I had the chance.

To be honest, of the dubs that I had seen only Gundam Wing and Escaflowne didn't disturb the hell out of me with the annoyingly dumb voice acting...

Thankfully, I haven't watched TV in a good couple of years, which proved to have made me a much happier man 8)

I'll try not to explode, so I'll be polite...

Whatever do you mean, kind sir? What was so very disappointing in your eyes? Did your expectations weigh on you too much? did you bite off more than you can CHEW, MOTHER F--...

I apologize... please, expand a bit.
Pretty please?

Are you feeling alright? I *hate* the Escaflowne dub. I find it horribly inaccurate and overly acted. Have you watched it subtitled? :)
I hope so.

That Pokémon Johto League crap annoyed the crap outta me! It's just so stupid the way it sounds like they just pulled pokemon names out of their arses, man. That is what they do when they Americanize a show, isn't it?

I watched it in original non-translated Japanese format.

And oh... by no means am I saying that the dub is anywhere NEAR the original. However, the deficiencies aside, I didn't think it was horrible as some others are. Overly acted... mayhaps. But at least you could tell there was SOME acting going on (geez... unlike some dubs! :P )

I agree with not liking either ending, but I didn't find them annoying per se... just sucky. The only annoying things in Evangelion are (1) Asuka and (2) the English dub.

Mr Oni
I'd disagree with ya on Escaflowne, I saw it, but I wouldn't put it in the same category as [cough*] Evangelion....
