I will say while it is interesting that tech TV is going for some of the series that are a little outside the norm I am wondering how people will take some of these.
Soul Taker based on the people I have spoken with is a very take it or leave it type anime. It has its fans and there are some who don't care for it.
Gatekeepers 21- This one is a major shock as it is a relative unknown title entirely. In fact I beleive the last disk of the 6 ep OVA is being released late this month. So it is really new. But it is a sequel to a series, which means they are limiting the audience by not airing the original first.
Boogiepop Phantom- well, makes sense in an odd way. While not really a 'techy' anime this will draw in teh fans that saw and enjoyed Serial Experiments Lain. Basically a arthouse horror/suspense series this one is a tad off from the usual fare they have chosen to air and definitely is not quite the norm for this network.
At least they are keeping things fresh. Despite odd commerical timings I give them credit for changing it up before an anime is overrun and stale much like is done with Adult Swim.
Interesting Choices in new Anime for Tech TV

I agree the commericals are a bit much at times. But Tech TV gets the pat on the back for picking much less obvious anime.
I mean I remember a few years ago and it was the general consensus that hell would freeze over when Lain got aired on TV.
I mean they are not going for the most popular anime out there and ithat is good because they sometimes air shows a lot have never seen as opposed to Cartoon network that gets the shows that became megapopular but a lot of us have seen before it hit the network.

Tech TV is a cable television channel that as the name implies focuses on technology based shows ranging from computers to video games. They recently started airing certain anime shows later at night, mostly the sci-fi genre types.
I don't think everyone gets this channel yet so it is possible that your cable provider never picked it up. *shrugs*
