Anime Movie Disscusion: Is it right to make them???
I pesonally think its an ok Idea. I mean fan are allways wondering who couyld play who in a live action movie. Well now that get to see if their perdiction was right.
To date about 6 live action anime movies are going to be made. DBZ, Akira, Lupin the 3rd, Evangelion, Kite, and that Battle Angel Aika one (Dont know the exact name) Im planning on attending each one of these movie to see if justiec has been served but still leave the theater with the feeling at the bottom of my stomach say "Oh god that was horrible due to the missrepresentation of the series (And misrepresentation there will be)
So whjat are you general opinions about anime series or movies being "Americanized" into movie? are there certain series or movies you hope they wont mess up? are there some you actually might be willing to see done live action? Iv heard alot of people saying they wouldnt mind for a Live Action Ghost in the Shell. I myself dont care for the movie but I wouldnt mind a Live Action X. Those are my thoughts anyway

Well I think the movies of anime movies would probably do better, because with series theres usually to much to put in (unless maybe they tweaked the story and timeline to fit). Therebye resulting like the Ghost in The Shell manga-to-anime conversion.

I can think of no reason why movie discussions should not be allowed...
Seriously, as Sarah mentioned, the only ones who will even be outraged at the idea are a few rabid fanboys. But with all the complete flops there have been trying to turn American tv shows into movies, I would have pretty low expectations.

I take miserable delight in G Saviour...and it shall remain a guilty pleasure of mine....Cole wrote:HAHAHAHAHAHA
Except Trinity never got fully naked or dismembered on screen.
After having seen the first live-action Guyver and the Gundam Saviour movie, I'm not all that interested in anime-to-hollywood (and ESPECIALLY not any live action done by the Japanese) conversions.

Hollywood could most definitely adapt an anime and turn it into an excellent movie. But for that to happen, the moons of several planets across several galxies will need to align themselves astrologically to harness the unkown spiritual powers of Miss Cleo, the ghosts of the architects of Stone Henge will need to rise up and finish building what was actually just a big-ass gazeebo where the monks had planned to produce and consume doobies, and every fanboy on the planet will need to promise to offer up his probably-never-to-be-born first born child (along with the unlikely woman that bore said unlikely child) as slaves for the movie industry.
Or some producer might actually have an uncanny interest in putting out a quality movie that appeals to the established fan base of any given anime/manga series. But I think the above scenario much more likely.
