LIVE-ACTION EVANGELION AND THOUGHTS ABOUT IT!!!

There is no way a movie, let alone an AMERICAN LIVE-ACTION, can convey the true ideas and deep stuff that make you look in at yourself that the series did. Still being a noob to anime (a few months) I think that all the tries to mainstream anime in the US has produced butcher versions of what was anime.

I will still see it, but my expectations are low.

I've been reading this post and one tiny thing has me worried ever so slightly...

if this is true it will destroy the movie completely, being british i think that his acting is very bad, however this rumour can't be true because he has a contract with the makers of the Harry Potter movies.

Another thing i'd like to know is what ending would the director use? Ep(s) 25-6 or the Death/Rebirth End of Eva versions...or would they be so stupid as to write a NEW ending, I can see it coming....A new title is forming:

"Neon Genesis Evangelion" is scrapped for"

"Big Robot Things That Save The World...Sort Off"

The director wouldn't have any control about that. That's in the hands of the writers and producers.

Writing a new ending wouldn't be too bad an idea, if it was done right.

im a little scared however. it really depends on the director and cast. if they were going to make one it would take at least 3 - 4 years for it to come out. it would have 2 have a similar visual feel to blade runner/ minority report.

YOu know, i think hollywood should give me teh oppurtunity to play the part of Asuka. I can dye my hair, grow boobs, and do something other stuff to fit the part.

What about the music? would the film company bother getting the rights to any of the original music or would they fill the entire movie with constant crappy casio keyboard techno -=cough!! DBZ cough!!=-

Or what about the religious...er...bits. I'm sure that won't go down too well in the west.

a movie like this I doubt they would limite the music to a casio keyboard. If any case they'll find some composer, like Elliot Goldenthal, James Horner, Klaus Badelt (sp?) or anyone they can get an agreement too to work on the film with.
