You know the OAVs were full of shit... 1st and 2nd one.
The show as good for about the first 30 episodes.. or so..
I haven't read the Manga, but in the Manga Kenshin does live.
The Manga is the real story. Seishounen is a faggit money making attempt where they have shitty character designs and everyones personalities get whipped around a pole and sodomized.

Personally I liked the OVA's so much I bought the DVD
Death is Enivitable,
OVA's start with the Childhood and his days as the assasin,
TV series is when he fights with that sakabatou, (I want one)
Rurouni Kenshin Seisouhen- seems to be the finally one, the conclusions to his life, i did enjoy it, even though i found it was really sad, i didn't expect to see Kenji though. (one could bitch about my spelling, but I don't really care)
