Okay, since we're getting serious now, I'll name some dates. Just keep in mind that I'm not actually partial to 'dating' or yuri.

A. Yuri:
1a. Mukuro & Shizuru
1b. Meeting up at Shizuru's for a chat over a nice cup of coffee, and then retiring to Mukuro's castle for...well, you know what for. ~_~ Sadly enough, this will be a fic one day.

B. Yaoi:
1a. Kurama & Hiei
1b. A playful 'romp' in a pretty ningen countryside, a quiet heart-to-heart in the sunset, and then a trip to the Makai to spend the night. Boring, too sappily romantic, but the night would certainly make up for that. It's one of the reasons I dislike 'dating.'
2b. The perfect 'date' would probably be spent stealing something together, and slaughtering some ignorant bad guys before picking on Yusuke & Kuwabara. ^_^ But that wouldn't qualify as a date by most people's standards.

Ah the lovely, brilliant, and sadistic Nakago! ^_^ I actually like him better paired with Tomo, because I think Tomo's a more interesting character - manipulative, pathetic, tragic, passionate - while hotohori's mostly just naive and an egotist. Egotists can be good - look at Nakago himself, Tatewake Kuno, Touga, Griffith, etc., but I think a pair is more dramatically and psychologically interesting if only one of the characters is self-confidant. I mean, if they're both confident where would all the yummy angst come from?

That's why I think Touga and Saionji make such a good pair - they're total opposites. Touga is manipulative, confident, coolly rational, and calm, while saionji is locked in a rigid honor code, battered by tempests of emotion, and trying to deny and sublimate the persistent idea that he is a failure. Like yin and yang, put them together and you get motion and life. ^_^

1b. sounds cute. Then again, i'm a romantic and a sucker for Hiei x Kurama so..... stuff like that appeals to me.

2b. is interesting. I could totally picturing that happening which is the sad part........ but yea..... i don't think it would qualify as much of a "date" so to speak

Couple: Hiei x Kurama (we established that already...)

Date: I'd like Kurama to take Hiei to a special place (maybe a nice secuded area in the forest with pretty roses.... and stuff...) and they'd just talk to each other. Kurama would tell Hiei all the stuff he loves about him and Hiei...... he'd just "hn" all night............ but whatever..... I'm a little like Arigatomyna. Dating is not something that i'm really for.... so i'd think of this as a nice conversation and exchange of feelings between two people (or demons... ^^;; ) that love each other.

I don't have too many favorite couples, really. (Not in anime; in gaming I'm partial to Camus/Miklotov, which is kind of lame and typical, but oh well. And for some reason, Lucian and Lawfer from VP. And Lucian's demonstrably straight, so I'm just a lunatic.)

I kind of like Juri and Shiori (SKU) simply because I'm a sadistic SOB and like complicated stories. But I'm not all "OMG they are liek teh most wonderfulest eva!!!1"

I'm not keen on Touga/Saionji simply because I think their friendship is too complicated and interesting to explain away with "Oh, yeah, well they're fucking like mad weasels and that's that."

(...not that there's anything bad about the mental image; just that, in the story, it's more interesting to me if I think of their friendship as built on something else.)

Heh, now there's a date to end all dates (sorry to run with your idea ^_~ ). It would take place in the series when Hisoka catches Miraki for the second time. If Tsuzuki hadn't shown up, they would have a nice repeat of their first meeting - but without the curse (since it is inneffective in his Shinigami form). Hot, NCS, and with plenty of mental torture. 8) So many fanfics for this 'date' idea, and yet none have used their second encounter. So sad...
