I think the episode was called Rem Saverem (sp?).
And I do agree that Knives is cool although I like Legato more. I just loved the theory on humans.

Knives is far superior to Vash in every way. You don't see him going soft, even as a child. Rather than have that brainwashing Christian Rem cut his hair, he did it on his own, so he wouldn't have to listen to her ranting. The guy single-handedly pulled the old Jedi mind trick on every single crewmember, except Rem, which he left alone for his brother's sake (you can't say the guy hasn't got a heart).
Vash just bugged me, not because of his stance, but the way he did it. He was always doing the peeping-Tom pervert bullshit, yet constantly acting like a cowardly, drunken fool. He could have easily kept his self-respect, pulled a T2, and wounded his enemies, rather than killing them. I mean, how much cooler would Vash have been if he kept calm and stoic through volleys of gunfire, drew his .45 Long Colt slowly, and picked-off his enemies one at a time, leaving them to watch him just wade through their defenses?
