Alternative Cowboy Bebop loving?
Anyone?

Episodic, stylish, beautifully animated. The movie's quite the gem. Not my favorite, but a deserving title.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Yes, I quite agree. One of the few animes where the movie could be also highly accredited with it's top-notch, gorgeous animation and intricate characters. Although I wasn't totally satisfied with the movie...I'd still say it's worth a lot a praise!
And if you couldn't already tell, Gren is probably my favorite anime character. Such a sad story to his tale...

I'm a big fan myself, I'd have to say of anime tv series that have been dubbed and brought here to the states, it's one of my favorites. That and my newfound love of Trigun, one day I hope to learn Japanese so I can see all of the stuff I am really missing in the dialog, that hasn't been sanitized for our sensitive American nature.

if u get subed insted of dubbed anime then its translated really well o also find it more intresting to watch it in its original language. i must also agree that the movie could have been better but it was really good especialy for a movie based on a series mostly the series based animes i find to be kind of poor. as for trigun i think it is a good show but its missing alot in the story becouse the manga gose deeper into it. cb is much better

Cowboy Bebop is one of my favorite series. I love trigun too, but I think Cowboy had a bit more to it. I was a lot more involved with the chara and story. They should have made this series much longer! (just saved up enough to spend on the box set --- cant wait for it to get here !!---
The movie was good, but I really wish they had used Vicious, instead of Vincent. I wanted to learn so much more about his charater but they really didnt get into that. I also have to say that this has been the "breakthrough" anime for me to get my friends into. Not many of my friends will sit through anime, but I have got quite a few into this series in particular.
AND noir_hikari : I agree with you, Gren really got to me. One of the best stories I have come across.

Cowboy Bebop? Oh yea, definitely up there. Its one of those titles out there that is acclaimed at first for its great action scenes, excellent picture quality, and music, who could forget that. Then the more I think abt it, there's underlying messages through out the anime, and more so in the movie.
