there are two movies? thats an interesting development...
i only saw one, the love that transcends time, something like that. don't think i messed up the title, if i did, it should only be off by a few words max...
basically, if you got far enough in the anime, its similar to one part. since i heard you mention adult swim, well, don't think AS made it that far.(for teh record, i'm up to ep 117)
the movie in one sentence: its abt a butterfly youkai wanting to inherit his deceased father's powers and take over the world.
the movie isn't bad, just felt like one long conflict in the anime(that takes abt two maybe three episodes?) got its share of mushy stuff if you don't care for it or love it, i don't kno yr taste. its worth watching, but if you can't get yr hands on it, you didn't miss much. in a scale of 1-10, i'd give it a 4.5
if yr a big inu fan, then check it.

the second movie of what i read is called The Castle Through The Looking Grass and its about Nuraku stealing Inuyasha's sword and Kagome's arrow. the third movie which is to come out this year probably in december is called Battle of the Great Swords which is about Inuyasha vs Sessohmaru. those are the only little details i know about them. but Inuyasha movie 2 sounds cool since it deals with Nuraku. i cant wait for them to come out in english but ill probably pick up the import before hand any ways.

Castle Beyond the Looking Glass sets Inuyasha and the gang against a new youkai who calls herself the Tennyo of the Moon or something like that. I thought it was better than most of the series. They look a lot more mature in the movie too. The plot isn't half bad, it involves Naraku to some extent, but it's mainly Inuyasha fighting against the gorgeous demoness.

i think the most interesting part of the inuyasha anime is his conflict with sesshoumarou. sess is a mysterious character as he is, always alone. even his cohorts jaken, rin and that dragon steed do little to nothing to sess.
the other thing is why inu is hated so much by sess. i mean, originally, its cuz he hates humans, but thats contradicted by him saving rin. rin is nothing but a weak point to sess. so what the hell?!

Yeah... first one's pretty good. And supposedly the second one takes place after Naraku's death (no guarantee on that though, since I 1. haven't seen it to say yea or nay and 2. Naraku is still alive and kicking in the eps currently being released in Japan, which is about 75 eps ahead of Cartoon Network...)
I'm definitely looking forward to the third one though. I'm a big fan of Fluffy-sama (aka Sesshoumaru), so yeah. And my theory is, there'll be a lot of us Inu fans who won't be able to afford the whole 200-DVD set when Inu's completely released, so the movies'll be a good way to support Rumiko Takahashi as creator and Sunrise as producers without completely going broke.
